e-Admission for +2 and +3 wing (Arts, Science, Commerce) has been introduced by the Govt of Odisha, Dept of Higher Education in Marshaghai College from 2010- 11 and 2011-12 respectively. The students or parents have to apply through on- line. They can take print of the computer copy of filled application form.
Then can submit the application to get admissiom to any stream of any college of their choices under SAMS (Students Academic Management system). The application from is known as Common Application Form (CAF) for admission to any stream of any of the Junior / Degree colleges selected for e-Admission. Details regarding documents to be submitted with application, selection procedure, admission rules, Reservation weightage etc are availbe in Higher Education Website – www.

a) Cash receipt in support of the purchase of printed computer copy printed computer copy application form.
b) Attested copy of the SLC/CLC/Board Certificate etc (For +2 & +3 applicants)
c) Attested copy of the Conduct Certificate.
d) Attested copy of the Computerised Mark-Sheet.
e) Caste Certificate in case of SC/ST students from the competent authority.
f) Physically Handicapped students are to attach Medical Certificate issued by the C.D.M.O.
g) Attested copies of NCC Certificate.
h) Migration Certificate (Only incase of other Board/University applicants)
i) President’s Scout/Guide Certificate (for +2 streams only)
j) Sports Certificate by the director of sports
k) One self addressed unstamped envelope of size (9″x4″)
l) Blood Group test report with three passport size photo copy.
The application complete in every respect alongwith the requisite documents should be submitted to admission Committee in the college office during working hours.

Selection of candidates for admission is made by SAMS, Govt of Odisha. Intimation is sent through messge to cell mobile number which is given by students or through on-line.

i) As per the Odisha Higher Secondary Education Regulation, 1982 no student shall ordinarily be admitted into 1st year, of +2 class in an institution six weeks after the date of reopening of the institution after Summer vacation or from the date of publication of the (general) result of the Annual High School Certificate Examination of the Board of Secondary Education Odisha, whichever is later. However, the C.H.S.E, Odisha may permit a student two weeks more for admission with a late fee of Rs. 10/- (Rupees ten ) only.
ii) As per Utkal University Regulation of 1988 a student shall ordinarily be admitted into a college in +3 classes four weeks after the reopening of the college after Summer vacation or six weeks after the publication of the (general) results of Annual C.H.S.E, Odisha Examinations, whichever is later and two weeks thereafter on payment of late fee.

Students of +2 Ist Year Arts / Science/Commerce promoted to 2nd Year classes and students of +3 Arts / Science/Commerce promoted to 2nd Year / 3rd Year, Degree classes are required to take re-admission within 4 (Four) weeks from the date of re-opening of the College after Summer Vacation. (or by notice given in the Notice Board)

The weightage for admission is calculated on the marks secured (without extra/
4th Opt.) in the last qualifying examination.
a) NCC with A-1 & A-2 Certificate for admission into
Higher Secondary classes. 2%
b) NCC with ‘B’ Certificate. 3%
c) NCC with ‘C’ Certificate. 5%
d) For Girl Student. 5%
e) President’s Scout/Guide (for +2 class) 10%
f) Orthopaedically or Physically Handicapped
(deaf, dumb & blind) 5%
g) Candidates representing the University/ State Boards/
Central School in sports/NCC at all India level. 5%
h) Representing the State at National Level Sports. 10%
i) Candidates representing Inter National Level Direct Admission
j) NSS volunteer(s) who have represented
the country in NSS at the Inter National level – do –
k) NSS volunteer(s) who have received National award. 7%
l) NSS volunteer(s) who have received State NSS award. 5%
m) Best volunteer(s) at University level. 3%
a) Admission to different classes is given at the college counter only and not by post.
b) Admission is given on the basis of SAMs, Govt of Odisha.
c) Admission can not be claimed as a matter of right and may be refused without assigning any reason thereof.
d) The decision of the Principal in matters of admission is final & binding.
e) 12% & 8% of seats available in +2 & +3 classes shall be reserved for the ST & SC students respectively. Vacant reserved seats in either categories may be filled upon the basis of General merit list.
f) Candidates must apply separately for separate streams and combination in case of +3 science.
College has specified dress code for students. Navy blue Suit and sky blue Shirt for boys, Navy blue salwar and odhni and sky blue Kameez for girls for Degree (+3) students and Maroon colour Suit and Brick colour Shirt for boys, Maroon colour Salwar and odhni and Brick colour Kameez for girls for +2 students with ‘V’ shaped front and ‘U’ shaped back for girl student’s kameez.
